by Mr. Eifel (Eifel tower).

The Praca dos Trabalhadores. This statue was erected in the memory of all who died in the battle to construct the railwayline
from Pretoria to Lorenzo Marques, now Maputo. The causes of death were malaria, tsetse flies and tribal wars. This lady is
called "the lady and the snake". The believe is that she broke the curse of snakes.
Maputo has wide avenues lined with red acacia and lilac jacaranda flowering trees. It offers the tourist
innumerable historic, cultural and scenic spots.

This is the ferry that runs accross the Maputo harbour bay. Cars and boats can also be transported on the ferry.
The ride accross the bay takes approximately 10 minutes.
